State testing information...

Happy New Year! 2010 is off to a great start!

Here are the dates for the state required ISAT and IRI testing.

Spring 2010 ISAT's April 12, 2010 to May 14, 2010.

Winter 2010 IRI's January 4, 2010 to February 12, 2010.

Spring 2010 IRI's April 19, 2010 to May 21, 2010.

Important changes in ISAT 2009-2010
  • 9th graders will be tested in the Spring of 2010
  • This fill the gap in assessment between 8th and 10th grade which districts had requested leading into the "graduation" year of ISAT Testing
  • 11th and 12th graders will retest this Fall
  • Due to lack of use, no Winter and Summer retests will be given in 2010
  • 10th graders will be allowed but not required to test in Fall of 2009, and they will NOT bank scores
  • 10th graders will not test in the Fall of 2010
If you have any questions about these state tests or want more information about them, please contact me. Thanks. Tyson Carter - 459-7442.

Notus Elementary continues to make AYP!

For the second year in a row Notus Elementary has made its Adequate Yearly Progress, as required by the Federal No Child Left Behind Act. Way to go Notus Elementary!

Along with this great news, the administration is happy to announce that the Notus School District has also made AYP this year! Notus School District was 1 of 60 districts to make AYP this year in Idaho out of 132. Congratulations Notus! What an accomplishment!

To make AYP, a school must meet statewide student achievement goals in 41 different target areas during a given school year. The 41 targets include students in the entire school, students with disabilities, students with limited English proficiency and students who are economically disadvantaged.

Located below are a few links to AYP data and information provided by the Sate Department of Education.

For more information about our school or the district, go to the district homepage and click on District Report Card or Elementary Report Card on the elementary page.

Thank you Notus students and staff for all your hard work and effort! This is a great achievement!
